West Missionary Church Philosophy of Ministry
Vision Statement
To co-labor with our brothers and sisters in the Lord at West Missionary Church by using our talents and hearts of service to lift up, edify, exhort and encourage them, and to reach and teach the world for Jesus Christ by lifting Him up so that He will draw all men to Himself.
Philosophy of Ministry
Psalm 100 is the foundation for our ministry in music at West Missionary.
We will at every opportunity provided by the Lord make a JOYFUL noise, which means a cry of battle or shout of praise no matter what the circumstances of our lives.
We will serve the Lord with gladness understanding that service to the Lord involves labor. By acknowledging that He is King, and that His Kingship requires our service, we will allow that thought to make us glad because He is so worthy and gracious.
We will come before His presence with singing, which means that we will be prepared both in excellence and in heart to sing in the presence of the King of Kings.
We will approach singing in the congregation of believers in it's appropriate context, understanding that all ability is a generous gift from the Lord, and our talent has not been earned or deserved.
We will accept that God places each person 'severally as He wills', and that He has placed us in fellowship at West Missionary to serve Him as sheep among other sheep, understanding that to accomplish His will in this, we must be in regular attendance with the sheep we serve among.
We will come with an offering for the King when we come to service. To get into the gate of His presence we understand we must be thankful, for the privilege of entering His court, we must bring praise with us.
We will bless His name, we will sing songs that mention His name, that lift up His name. We will make sure that He is glorified-- not us.
We will praise Him for being good, because He is good.
We will praise Him for His everlasting mercy.
Because we will choose to honor and exalt the King of Kings, His truth will be present in ourlives and in our service times...because His truth will be present in our lives and in our service times, what we are doing will endure to every generation of this church and this world.
